The Curious Misur Frog

I named this piece "The Curious Misur (Monsieur) Frog" partially in tribute to my late silly teddy bear hamster Buttons who's hair grew so long around his tail it looked like a french man's mustache. The idea for the image itself actually came from another one of my paintings I did about a mystical fairy reading a book. This image was the product of one of those incidents where you see an image within an image. I'm sure glad I found this guy! On this project I experimented with the technique done by Illustrator C.F. Payne and I really enjoyed making it! Hope you like as much as I do :)

This was my first version

Then I spiced it up a little bit later... ;)

New Project: Children's Book- Waffle's Day at the Beach (dummy book)

I’m currently working on a children’s book about a little kiwi named Waffle called Baby Waffle’s Day at the Beach.  It’s about how Baby Waffle has fun at the beach while his mother tells him to go have fun, but be careful at the same time because a lot of things can go wrong. It’ll be a 32 page book and it should be done for print in the beginning of August. So far, I only have the character design for Waffle scanned. I’ll probably have more after this weekend. Check it out and tell me what you think!
